Hello! I graduated magna cum laude from Western Illinois University in 2025 with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a minor in Coaching. I was honored to be named the Art Departmental Scholar my senior year.
While at WIU, I was also a member of the football team, where I developed strong skills in teamwork, leadership, and time management. Before attending WIU, I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Central Community College, completing the Honors Program with a 4.0 GPA while playing football.
I enjoy exploring a range of materials and techniques, including digital design, ceramics, drawing, and printmaking. Each medium allows me to express something unique through surface, texture, depth, and balanced composition.
I’m inspired by artists like Vincent van Gogh, particularly his loose brushstrokes that bring color to life from a distance. His work reminds me to prioritize the feeling and energy behind my art rather than striving for “perfection.”
Through my work, I hope to encourage others to think differently about art and to appreciate how each medium offers new possibilities. I want to show that art is about discovery, where experimentation and growth are always welcome — no matter who you are.
“You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear.”
“I can’t hear you,” Vincent van Gogh (fictionally) replied.
